My Story

My love of food began in my grandmother's kitchen with first smells and noises of the daily kitchen hustle, the aromas of fresh herbs, the grinding of spices and tastes that are etched in my memory forever. 

I love to create, experiment, observe, and listen and thus my food became a constant learning while pushing boundaries of global cuisines and flavors of the world around us.  Though my roots are Indian/Asian, I explore the whole world of food.

Food is first experienced by your eyes as they are the windows to your soul. I love presenting, styling and creating food that is like art.  The plate can be as simple and minimal or as complex and intricate as the dish desires it.  Food without styling is a necessity and when styled and presented the same becomes a luxury.

Amlu Tastings is my creative expression of food, taste, culture and style. We are a pop up, fine dining, private chef experience in the Chicagoland area. We create & curate an unforgettable experience in our 5 - 8 course tasting experience at ours or yours.
